Alterations

Metro Construction has undertaken a number of successful alterations to buildings with excellent results and very happy clients.

From experience we know that alterations are quite different from new work as they require a higher level of understanding of the building envelope, processes, materials and structural nature of buildings. More often than not, they require carpenters and a foreman who are able to diagnose problems and develop solutions that are realistic, compliant and cost effective. Simply put...Experience, Knowledge and Commitment counts.

Our team of builders are well versed in the NZ Building Code and NZS 3604 which is a requirement when renovating or altering a building. As the requirements have changed frequently over the last 20 years it is imperative to understand what was "compliant" then, may be "non-compliant" now and vice versa. This understanding puts us in good stead with Architects, Engineers and Council inspectors.

We have done a number of alterations / renovations to both residential homes and to commercial premises. Each have their individual challenges and we feel that we have a good team and body of knowledge / techniques to undertake any project.
